I’m delighted to be introducing my this year’s book THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM:BIOETHICAL CONCERNS IN HUMAN MILK BANKING to the independent book store community beginning at the guiding light of community based readers BOOK PASSAGE CORTE MADERA, on Saturday, AUGUST 3, 2019, at 4PM. Joining me will be Pauline Sakamoto the founding director of Mothers Milk Bank San Jose — the organization to whom the proceeds from the sales will be allocated and Susan Martinelli of the California Breastfeeding Coalition—who is a lactation consultant with the County of Marin— my own home county.. September Williams Author is a member of the Post11Nine Collective Which supports 'Still They Persist: Protest Art of The 2017 Women's Marches'

Last year at this time it was my honor to mark the sad first anniversary in Chicago with a group of brilliant creative people — who refused to allow the gravity of the date 11/9 pass without notice. The Group was a collective of creative people brought together by the collectives founders and particularly artist Curator Asya Abdrahman — in a show of multimedia art and literature (https://www.post11nine.com/who/ )In keeping with that spirit Post11Nine has become a partner of the exhibit at Pro Arts Gallery in Oakland called “They Still Persist: The Protest Art of the 2017 Women’s Marches.” Opening this Friday in Oakland and running through November 30th — the Art show again mark the resistance shown particularly by the Women’s marches.
