September Williams Author of Chasing Mercury, Chicago, November

November 9 & 10, 2017 @POST 11/9:THE NEW NOW—Artist Writers and Thinkers, The Connect Gallery in Hyde Park. I’ll bereading from Chasing Mercury those evenings. This is a fabulous traveling creative discourse having originated in San Francisco it will move through the heartland of the nation this year.

November 9 - 10 also coincides with the MacLean Center for Clinical Ethics Annual Dorothy MacLean Conference at the University of Chicago so I will be able to catch some sessions during the days there — also in Hyde Park, Chicago.

November 18, 2017 @ POST 11/9: THE NEW NOW-Artist Writers and Thinkers - November 18 also at the Connect Gallery,  where I’m hoping to interview Health educator,  journalist and health educatorGlenn Ellis of the acclaimed radio show INFORMATION IS THE BEST MEDICINE, and author of the book by the same name.  The goal is to talk about the health of (particularly) Black men and implications in the broader community.  I’m particularly looking forward to this event as Glenn has interviewed me 3 times on various subjects including a long interview on Chasing Mercury last year, just before the 2016 LitCrawl reading — Pay back!

November 20, 2017: Two session @ Chicago Medical School/Rosalind Franklin University - one on The Founding Myths of Bioethics— particularly looking at how narrative works relate to the topic. The second session is a professional teaching session about the narratives of clinical cases and decision making.

I’ll keep you posted about exact times closer to the dates.
