September Williams, MD-Author At California Breastfeeding Coalition Gala Honoring Pauline Sakamoto MS, RN, PHN

Pauline SakamotoMS, RN, PHN oversaw all daily milk bank donations and distribution,  international relations, policy and community engagement for a quarter-century! She has the deepest respect of hospitals, scientists, researchers, policy advocates, and the community. She is a prime architect in the movement to provide breastfeeding equity, feeding the frail and universal breastfeeding and child advocacy. Writer colleague Sarah Kornfeld introduced September and Pauline Sakamoto. The latter turned September into a “Milk Warrior”, in a single afternoon!

Sakamoto’s questions and wisdom resulted in September Williams writing the book The Elephant in the Room: Bioethical Concerns in Human Milk Banking She is also a past activist, lactation experts, and families that the milk bank and the  California Breastfeeding Coalition serves.  For more information about the Gala   For more about Pauline Sakamoto’s past work.
