September Williams reviews films and is an member of the National Writers Union (AFLICO-UAW 1981)/International Federation of Journalist. She covers films with bioethical relevance often beyond medicine and scientific themes. from the viewpoint. Among her favorite film festivals is her local Mill Valley Film Festival. The MVFF is the origin of the Mind the Gap initiative which is committed to seek having a 50/50 gender parity in directors of films at it’s festival. In 2019 4 years after setting the goal MVFF has had 48% of films with women in majore roles behind the camer. Films with women directors/producers/writers statistically also improves diversity by gender, race and culture on screen.
